SEEPEX day-ahead volumes fall in November 2025 as prices stay near prior levels

In November 2025, 466,713.6 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market at the Serbian energy exchange SEEPEX. The figure represented an 8.8% decline versus October. On average, 15,557.1 MWh changed hands per day during the month. Compared with November 2024, volumes were 5.6% lower.

Day-ahead pricing on SEEPEX in November

The average daily base price on SEEPEX’s day-ahead market in November reached 119.15 euros/MWh. This level was 3.6% lower than the previous month. The average euro-peak price increased slightly to 132.66 euros/MWh, up 1.9%.

SEEPEX ownership and market expansion

SEEPEX was officially launched on 17 February 2016, with an initial traded volume of 1,925 MWh. The platform is jointly owned by the Serbian electricity transmission system operator EMS and the European Power Exchange EPEX SPOT. It is designed to support a competitive, transparent and reliable electricity market in Serbia and Southeastern Europe, with a focus on increasing trading volumes across the region.

An intraday market was added in July 2023, expanding trading flexibility beyond the day-ahead segment.
