The intraday market was introduced in April 2017 to enhance market flexibility. On 19 June 2018, the CROPEX day-ahead market was coupled with MRC markets through the Croatian-Slovenian border. The coupling followed a joint project involving Croatian and Slovenian transmission system operators and power exchanges.
