North Macedonia’s day-ahead electricity exchange recorded 117,727.5 MWh of traded power in April 2026. This was 6.8% higher than the 97,069 MWh registered in the same month a year earlier. Trading volumes fell on a monthly basis, dropping 14% compared with March.
The market operator MEMO reported an average market-clearing price of €87.8/MWh for April 2026. The figure represented a 7.5% decrease versus the previous month. MEMO also cited a peak price of €57.8/MWh during the period.
Average daily trading volume in April 2026 was 3,924.3 MWh. The reported level pointed to steady but moderate liquidity throughout the month. Price movement during the observed period was described as relatively contained, based on the peak price figure.

North Macedonia’s electricity exchange was officially established in May 2023. It continues to develop as a relatively new venue within the regional power trading landscape. April 2026 data reflects ongoing activity on the day-ahead market since the exchange’s launch.
