Hungary’s HUPX day-ahead electricity market recorded an average price of €96.55/MWh in April 2026. This was down 17.8% from the previous month, when the average baseload price stood at €117.4/MWh. The average DAM peak price reached €60.43/MWh in April, falling 41.6% versus March.

The day-ahead market’s average baseload figure for April 2026 was €96.55/MWh on HUPX. The same month saw the average DAM peak price at €60.43/MWh. Compared with March, the peak level was 41.6% lower.
Day-ahead trading volumes and year-on-year changes
Total trading volume on the HUPX day-ahead market reached 2.44 million MWh in April 2026. This represented a 12.7% month-on-month decline from 2.79 million MWh. On a year-on-year basis, volume was 2% lower than in April 2025, when it stood at 2.49 million MWh.
Intraday continuous volumes and registered members
Trading on the intraday continuous market totaled 1,087,209 MWh in April 2026. The figure was up 0.2% compared with the previous month. In April, there were 120 registered members on the day-ahead market, four more than in the previous month.
The intraday continuous market counted 112 registered members in April 2026. These membership figures were reported alongside the intraday volume increase of 0.2% month-on-month.
