Italy posts record January solar and wind output amid mixed European weekly trends

Solar photovoltaic generation rose week-on-week in France and Italy during the week of January 26. Italy recorded the largest increase at 41%, while France reported a second consecutive weekly rise of 13%. By contrast, Portugal and Spain continued falling for a third straight week, with declines of 30% and 34%, respectively. Germany also saw lower PV output, with a weekly decrease of 64%.
